Getting Started with Vegetables

Saturday, February 5th

10:00am-12:30pm

Bring your gardening dreams to life and start a productive garden right in your own backyard. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to plant, grow, and harvest beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables all season long. This is a great introductory workshop for beginners and will offer a few new tricks for seasoned growers.

During the workshop we will be covering:

  • Choosing a gardening location
  • How to design your garden layout
  • Preparing your soil for planting
  • Selecting varieties for our climate
  • Timing of planting

This workshop will be partnered with our getting started with flowers workshop. Basic gardening principals will be covered and then time will be spent on the individual topics. Participants are welcome to stay for both portions.  A Q&A session will be held at the end of the workshop to cover any other questions.

This workshop can be attended in person or virtually. Virtual attendees will connect through Zoom; internet access via computer or phone will be required. After registration, we will be emailing attendees instructions on how to download Zoom for free and join the live class.

All workshop attendees receive 10% off any purchases made during the event. Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another guest. Contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
