Cut Flower Gardening Series 2.0- Harvesting your blooms

Saturday, July 23rd

8:00am-10:00am

In this special hands-on workshop, we will learn how to get the most bang out of your blooms. This demonstration workshop will show how to make the cut in the right spot to keep flowers producing all summer long.

During the workshop we will be covering:

  • How to sanitize your buckets and equipment
  • Why frequent harvesting will extend your cut flower production
  • What is the best stage of bloom for cutting
  • How to care for your flowers once you’ve harvested them

Not only will we learn how to harvest but also how to care for your flowers once they have been cut. Each participant will receive a floral bucket and floral preservative to take home. These are essential tools for any flower farmer to be! Kits will be available for pickup in store during or after the workshop.
