"Locally grown, can your own!" workshop

Whether you have canned for many years or would like to try canning for the first time, we invite you, your family, and friends to attend our canning workshop. Join us, September 8th at 10:00 am to learn how to safely can in your kitchen! Extension assistant Lindsey Cady will provide the ins and outs on how to can safely and deliciously. She will be discussing safe food preservation practices, basic principles of home canning and freezing, when to choose a water bath or pressure canner, and be guiding participants through hands-on canning techniques. 

Tuition: $3 for one, or bring a friend and receive two spots for $5.
