Spider Plant-Chlorophytum comosum

Considered one of the most adaptable of houseplants and easiest to grow. This girl can grow in a variety of conditions and suffers from very few problems. She gets her name because of the spider-like plants, or spiderettes, which dangle down from the mother plant like spiders on a web.

This is one tough girl! She doesn't require too much attention, making this the perfect option for first-time plant parents- no green thumb required! She thrives in bright, indirect light with well-drained soil. Water her well, but be careful not to let her become soggy, which can lead to root rot. She actually prefers to dry out some between waterings.
