Irrigation 101

Thursday, May 12th

6:00-7:30 pm

Irrigation is one of the most important components of gardening--especially in the desert climate of Utah! If we have learned anything from living here, it is that we need to conserve water and irrigate our landscapes in a more conscious way. We have invited our very own Cache County USU Extension Horticulture agent JayDee Gunnell to teach us proper irrigation practices and how to put together a drip system.

During the workshop we will be covering:

  • Choosing the best time of day to water
  • How much and how often different plant types need to be watered
  • Selecting more water-efficient sprinkler heads
  • How to design and put together your own drip system
  • Maintaining a drip system
