The secret to any good garden is the soil! The health of the soil is crucial to guarantee success with your cut flowers. In this workshop, you will learn how to direct sow seeds, how to time succession planting to extend your harvest, and the importance of fostering the health of your soil. This workshop will get you familiar bed prep, caring for your newly planted seeds, and setting up your garden for low maintenance success.
During the workshop we will be covering:
- How to sow seed directly
- When to time for succession planting
- Why consistent fertilizer and healthy soil is so important
- Our favorite tools for maintaining the garden
- Garden Maintenance:
- Watering methods — how and when to water
- Overview of weeding
- Basic overview of pest & disease control
The workshop will include our tried-and-true Bloom Brew, Freckle Farm’s favorite fertilizer for bangin’ blooms. This fertilizer has been specifically formulated to feed green growth, support flower production, and promote a bountiful harvest.
